We are very sorry to record the death of Jim Poston, nephew of Elizabeth and loyal Friend of the Forster Country. He had recently retired after a distinguished career in the diplomatic service and his sudden illness and death came as a terrible shock. He was last in Stevenage in October 2006, at the final concert of the Elizabeth Poston centenary celebrations, which he and his family had supported wholeheartedly.

Jim's funeral took place on 23rd October, 2007 in the little village church near Henley-on-Thames where he and his family regularly worshipped. The inspiring service included Jesus Christ the Apple Tree, sung by his children Elizabeth, Kate and James. To them, to his wife, Romey, and all his family, we extend our sympathy and good wishes.
