Recently I had the pleasure of being a guest of the present owner of Rooks Nest House. i can only describe the experience as "enchanting". I felt like I was within one of the books of my youth. Rooks Nest's charm is certainly met with the charm of the present owner. It is in very loving hands. I am extremely grateful for the experience

I am angry and sadened at this great loss, fighting for years and years for it all to be destroyed now, the whole Green Belt area to the North of stevenage should be protected land, it contains a huge variety of plants and wildlife and also gives the residents of Stevenage somewhere green to go. We will soon have nowhere.

To see Rook's Nest surrounded by red bricked abomination, rather than green-leafed beauty would be intensely sad. For the love of Forster, good luck to your project.

What do you think about Forster Country and the pressures of development?

A Green oasis of tranquility, a rural retreat to experience nature?

Cultural heritage?

Or does modern living change our values as well?

Star comments welcome

David
