| The FOFC was strongly represented at the Public Inquiry into the 1990 Stevenage District Plan Review and made the case for including the whole of the Forster Country within the Green Belt. To their delight, the DoE Inspector agreed with this argument and ruled that the Green Belt boundary be re-drawn, to give permanent protection to the Forster Country. Stevenage Borough Council accepted this ruling and it was implemented in 1995. |
